Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the declined 1.60%.
The best performers of the session on the were Anaam International Holding Group (TADAWUL:), which rose 9.38% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (TADAWUL:) added 8.07% or 2.05 points to end at 27.45 and Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:) was up 7.69% or 0.01 points to 0.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (TADAWUL:), which fell 5.43% or 13.80 points to trade at 240.20 at the close. CATRION Catering Holding Company SJSC (TADAWUL:) declined 5.20% or 6.80 points to end at 124.00 and National Agriculture Development Co (TADAWUL:) was down 4.55% or 1.30 points to 27.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 201 to 84 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (TADAWUL:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 8.07% or 2.05 to 27.45.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.65% or 0.46 to $70.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.79% or 0.60 to hit $76.49 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.94% or 19.40 to trade at $2,054.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.22% to 4.10, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 102.16.
