Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the added 0.65%, while the index lost 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the were Schneider Electric SE (EPA:), which rose 2.77% or 5.20 points to trade at 193.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Air Liquide SA (EPA:) added 2.39% or 4.02 points to end at 171.88 and Kering SA (EPA:) was up 1.97% or 7.55 points to 391.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BNP Paribas SA (EPA:), which fell 1.82% or 1.02 points to trade at 55.08 at the close. Edenred SA (EPA:) declined 1.23% or 0.68 points to end at 54.82 and Renault SA (EPA:) was down 1.14% or 0.41 points to 35.49.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Valneva (EPA:) which rose 7.62% to 3.84, Aperam SA (AS:) which was up 3.89% to settle at 29.94 and Fnac Darty SA (EPA:) which gained 2.78% to close at 24.36.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:) which was down 5.45% to 3.47 in late trade, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which lost 4.76% to settle at 2.40 and ALD SA (EPA:) which was down 3.82% to 5.79 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 261 to 257 and 87 ended unchanged.
Shares in Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.77% or 5.20 to 193.20.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.43% or 8.85 to $2,051.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.15% or 0.84 to hit $73.62 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.18% or 0.92 to trade at $78.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 104.12.
