Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.76% to hit a new all time high, while the index added 0.91%, and the index added 1.34%.
The best performers of the session on the were Qiagen NV (ETR:), which rose 4.94% or 1.96 points to trade at 41.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) added 3.33% or 0.46 points to end at 14.27 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:) was up 2.15% or 0.62 points to 29.21 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.04% or 1.05 points to trade at 33.60 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) declined 2.65% or 0.90 points to end at 33.03 and Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) was down 1.60% or 1.32 points to 81.37.
The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 9.45% to 13.67, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 6.64% to settle at 14.13 and Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which gained 4.47% to close at 144.80.
The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 2.47% to 32.77 in late trade, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which lost 2.18% to settle at 71.80 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 1.94% to 24.24 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 13.82% to 64.83, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 6.64% to settle at 14.13 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) which gained 4.94% to close at 41.50.
The worst performers were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.04% to 33.60 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 2.47% to settle at 32.77 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 1.94% to 24.24 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 364 to 264 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.47% or 6.20 to 144.80. Shares in Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 13.82% or 7.87 to 64.83.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 5.15% to 13.08.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.43% or 8.70 to $2,051.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.14% or 0.83 to hit $73.61 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.13% or 0.88 to trade at $78.87 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 104.12.
